Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall Tax Center

MISSION: To provide the JBM-HH community with professional, accurate and free income tax preparation assistance and advice.

OVERVIEW: The Tax Center will be the first point of contact for all eligible individials in the National Capital Region with tax questions, problems or concerns. The Tax Center is on the first floor of Building 406. Most tax assistance will be by appointment, however, there will be limited walk-ins available for Clients seeking preparation of 1040EZ's only. Walk-ins are not accepted after 1500 hours. The Tax Center hours will be Monday through Friday 0800-1630 hours. Hours of operation are subject to change and differ for military personnel based on physical training schedules. Phone number is (703) 696-1040.

GENERAL SERVICES: At a minimum, the Tax Center will provide the following services for eligible Clients:

• Prepare current and past year tax returns
• Prepare amended returns
• Provide electronic filing for both federal and state taxes
• Provide paper filing for both federal and state taxes

NOTE: 1040EZ is defined for walk-in purposes as taxpayers with:

1. Less than $100,000 income
2. Single or married filing jointly status
3. No dependent children
4. Interest/dividend income less than $1,500
