Colonel Patrick T. Warren
Chief of Staff
Colonel Warren was commissioned as an Armor Officer in the United States Army following graduation from the U. S. Military Academy in 1982. He served in multiple locations across the United States as well as overseas in Germany and Belgium. His service includes numerous Army and Joint staff positions and he commanded armor and cavalry units through the Brigade level. His operational experience includes service in Kosovo for Operation Joint Guardian, Turkey for Operation Iraqi Freedom and Afghanistan for Operation Enduring Freedom.
Colonel Warren’s military education began with the U.S. Army Armor Officer Basic and Captain’s Career courses. These were followed by attendance at the U.S. Marine Corps Command and Staff College and later the U.S. Army War College.
In addition to his undergraduate work at the U.S. Military Academy, he received a Master's degree in Computer Science from the Naval Postgraduate School and a Master's degree in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College. Colonel Warren also served as a Senior Army Fellow at the Brookings Institution where his work focused on the future of the NATO Alliance.
Colonel Warren is currently serving as the Chief of Staff for the Joint Force Headquarters – National Capital Region and the U.S. Army Military District of Washington.
